German Design Award 2018 for Elytra Filament Pavillon
The Elytra: Filament Pavilion at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London has received the German Design Award Winner 2018 in the Architecture category. The German Design Award is awarded annually by the German Design Council.
The German Design Award is conferred by the German Design Council, Germany’s leading brand and design authority. Its mission is to present the latest developments on the German design scene. Established in 1953 as a foundation on the initiative of the German Bundestag, it supports the economy in consistently achieving brand value through design. This makes the German Design Council one of the world’s leading competence centres for communication and brand management in the field of design. In addition to business associations and institutions, the exclusive network of foundation members includes, in particular, the owners and brand managers of many well-known companies.

The German Design Award is the top international prize of the German Design Council. Its goal: to discover, present and honour unique design trends. Therefore, every year, top-quality entries from product and communication design are rewarded, all of which are in their own way ground-breaking in the international design landscape. Launched in 2012, the German Design Award is one of the most wellrespected design competitions in the world and is held in high regard well beyond professional circles.

Ausstellung im Schloss Rosenstein: baubionik - biologie beflügelt architektur
Der von der DFG geförderte Sonderforschungsbereich Transregio 141 ‘Biological Design and Integrative Structures - Analysis, Simulation and Implementation in Architecture’ zeigt vom 19. Oktober 2017 bis 6. Mai 2018 seine bisherigen Forschungsergebnisse im Naturkundemuseum Stuttgart Schloss Rosenstein. Flankiert wird die Ausstellung durch jeweils einen Vortrag pro Monat und zwei eintägige Workshops.
Moss versus particulates: Moss wall in Stuttgart under construction
This pilot installation serves the research of the active reduction potential of moss against particulates. This is a common project of ITKE and IFK, University of Stuttgart and Staatliches Naturkunde Museum Stuttgart (SMNS).
Remstal Horticultural Show 2019: ITKE and ICD will be present.
ICD and ITKE construct one of the 16 architectonical highlights along the River Rems. Other planners are Barkow Leibinger, Jürgen Mayer H., Brandlhuber+, Staab Architekten and Schneider+Schumacher.
