We are very happy to welcome Jana Nowak.
We are delighted to once again fill the visiting professorship for ‘Innovations in Timber Construction and Mixed Timber Construction’ with a valued colleague from the field of civil engineering. Ms Jana Nowak studied at the University of Stuttgart and has been working for a well-known engineering firm in Stuttgart for seven years, where she has been involved in several major timber projects. Ms Nowak is no stranger to the faculty, having already supported us in teaching in previous years.
Her in-depth knowledge will be incorporated into the joint design projects and seminars with the visiting professorship at the Institute of Building Construction and the lectures on timber construction in Building Structures 1 and Building Structures 2 in the winter semester 2025/26 and summer semester 2026.
The research group is funded by the Ministry of Rural Affairs of the State of Baden-Württemberg.
