Prize for Flectoline
We are thrilled and honored to announce that FlectoLine has been awarded the Special Prize for Bionic Energy Transition Innovation by the MVV Stiftung Zukunft!
The award was presented by Dr. Alina Lara Amann during the gala evening of the 6th Bionics Congress Baden-Württemberg, held on May 5, 2025, at the JOHN DEERE Forum in Mannheim.
This recognition celebrates our interdisciplinary efforts in developing FlectoLine, the first large-scale outdoor demonstrator of a responsive façade system powered by compliant mechanisms and biomimetic principles. By integrating adaptive shading with energy generation through Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), FlectoLine takes a decisive step toward Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) and a more sustainable built environment.
